3.6　Examination of Stranded Galvanized Steel Wire and Ironware

3.6.1　The surface of stranded galvanized steel wire shall be even，smooth，without any defects such as burrs，cracks，scars or rust.

3.6.2　Stranded galvanized steel wire shall be tightly and evenly twisted without any crossover.

3.6.3　Specifications and properties of stranded galvanized steel wire shall meet requirements in Table 3.6.3.

3.6.4　The length of single-drum stranded galvanized steel wire shall be no less than 200m.

3.6.5　Ironware for overhead communication cable lines shall meet the following requirements:

1　The material and dimension of ironware shall comply with designrequirements or the manufactu-rer's technical specifications.

2　Deviation of ironware straightness shall be no greater than 0.5% of its total length.

3　Ironware shall not be welded or hammer welded unless otherwise stated.

4　For ironware，nodefects such as cracks or burns shall be allowed，anddents not exceeding the size allowance of material and burrs not greater than 0.2mm are allowed.

5　All Ironware shall be hot-dip galvanized，except for cap nuts and cable hangers that may be electroplated.

6　Anticorrosion treatment of ironware surface shall meet design requirements，and its galvanized layer shall be firm without any bubble，flake and pore，and no zinc dust or bumps shall be left in the connecting area.
