1 General Provisions

1.0.1 This code is developed to implement the national fundamental construction policies in the structural design of main building in fossil-fired power plant and the conventional island of nuclear power plant and to ensure the structural design is safe,reliable,economical and rational.

1.0.2 This code is applicable to determining loads of equipment,pipes and civil live loads from the ground or basement floor to the roof of the main building in designing the new,renovated or expanded fossil-fired power plant with a unit capacity of about 125MW-1000MW.

This code is applicable to determining loads of equipment,pipes and civil live loads from the ground or basement floor to the roof of the main building in conventional island of the nuclear power plant with a unit capacity of about 125MW-1000MW.

1.0.3 Actions involved in the civil structural design shall include direct actions(loads)and indirect actions.This code only specifies the loads and thermal action.Provisions for variable loads also apply to thermal action.

1.0.4 Thedesign reference period used in this code is 50 years.

1.0.5 In addition to this code,loads involved in the civil structural design shall also comply with other relevant current national standards.

1.0.6 The characteristic value of loads proposed by the process discipline or used in civil structural design shall be complied with this code.In addition,construction,installation,operation and maintenance shall also comply with this code.
