第46章 修德忘名 读书深心

Do away with fame when striving for virtue and be wholly devoted when resolving upon study.

学者[1]要收拾精神，并归一路。如修德而留意于事功名誉，必无实诣[2]；读书而寄兴于吟咏风雅，定不深心。

[2]实诣：实实在在的造诣。

为学者修身治学贵在全神贯注，心无旁骛：如果一边修身一边却又惦记着事功名誉，就很难取得实实在在的成效；如果一边读书一边却又耽于吟咏风雅，就一定沉不下心来刻苦钻研。
