Summary

This was quite a whirlwind tour of the basics of Swift, and as stated in the introduction to this chapter, you really do want to be on familiar terms with all the material up till now. In Chapter 5, Advanced Swift, we will begin to cover both more advanced features of the language, and those that deviate significantly from what you may already know from other languages, and that's the point at which the book will really take off.

The next chapter will look in depth at some of the features of Xcode that are an invaluable aid to expanding your repertoire of development techniques.
