Running Cortana
Before starting to issue commands to Cortana, you must first set it up to listen to your commands.
To let Cortana listen for your commands, complete the following steps:
- Press the Windows key + S to open Cortana.
- With Cortana open, select Settings.
- From the Keyboard shortcut section, you can turn on Let Cortana listen for my commands (see the following screenshot):

To issue commands to Cortana, complete the following steps:
- Press the Windows key + C to make Cortana listen to your commands.
- With Cortana in listening mode (see the following screenshot), begin saying your commands:

Because, at this stage, Cortana is already enabled, then you may just want to s ay Hey Cortana without pressing the Windows key + C in order to begin issuing commands to Cortana.
