5 Installation and Testing of Land Cable and Sea Earth System
5.0.1 Sea earth electrodes should be buried in the beach and the earth resistance shall meet design requirements.
5.0.2 After landing,the submarine cable's termination at the beach manhole,connection with land optical/power cable,lightning protection and grounding shall meet design requirements.
5.0.3 Where cables are laid in ducts,the land optical cable and land power feeding cable/sea-earth cable should be installed in different(sub-)ducts.
5.0.4 The installation and testing of optical cables between the cable landing point and the landing station shall comply with relevant stipulations in the current professional standard of Code for the Acceptance of Communications Line Engineering YD 5121.
5.0.5 The installation of power feeding cables and sea-earth cables shall meet design requirements.
5.0.6 The termination,installation and safety protection of land optical cables and power feeding cables/sea-earth cables within the landing station shall meet design requirements.
5.0.7 The DC resistance and earth insulation resistance of power feeding cables and sea-earth cables shall be tested and the results shall meet design requirements.
