1 General
1.0.1 This code is developed to regulate the design of fossil fired power plants such that they are safe, reliable, technically advanced, and economically viable.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of fossil fired power plants that are operated at an ultra high or above initial steam pressure, installed with single unit capacity of 125MW or above, operating at direct combustion mode and burning solid fossil fuels.
1.0.3 The fossil fired power plants shall be designed based on the technical requirements specified in the long-term power purchase contract or agreement signed with the power grid operators, coal quality specified in the long-term fuel supply contract or agreement, and the relevant basic engineering data such as hydrological, meteorological, and geological data etc..
1.0.4 The original data required for the design of fossil fired power plants shall be authentic and reliable and comply with the relevant design requirements.
1.0.5 The design of fossil fired power plant shall make full and reasonable use of the resources and conditions at the plant site in such a way that the current phase and future phases of the project are planned from an overall view.
1.0.6 The fossil fired power plants shall be designed by proactive application of advanced technologies, processes, material and equipment that have been proven through operating practices or industrial tests.
1.0.7 The design life of the process systems of fossil fired power plant shall be 30 years.
1.0.8 The design of fossil fired power plant should adopt a plant-wide unified identification system.
1.0.9 In addition to this code, the design of fossil fired power plants shall comply with relevant national standards in force as well.
