3.3 Single-drum Cable Examination
3.3.1 Single-drum electrical cable examination mainly includes:bad pair test, sealability test of cable sheath, pair loop resistance test, insulation resistance test and voltage withstanding test.
3.3.2 Color scheme and cabling order of telecommunication cable conductors shall comply with relevant standards.Cable core conductors shall be 100% intact without any break, mix, unhealthy earthing and insulation.
3.3.3 Main electrical characteristics and insulation tests of copper-core plastic cables shall comply with the provisions set in Appendix A.
3.3.4 Filling of filled cables shall be plump, even and thorough.
3.3.5 Inflatable cables shall be filled to 30kPa to 50kPa with dry air without pressure decrease for 3hours(6hours for armored cables).Cables failing to meet this sealability standard shall not be used.
3.3.6 Messengers of self-suspended optical(electrical)cables shall be installed in parallel to cables.Stranded steel wires shall be twisted closely together and shall not easily loose apart after 200mm plastic sheath at cable ends stripped off.
