5.4　Sintering（Pelletizing）Area

5.4.1　If possible，the sintering（pelletizing）shop of the mine shall be located near the filtering room of the ore dressing plant and in the area enjoying convenient and smooth product transportation conditions.

5.4.2　The sintering（pelletizing）shop should be arranged on the ground of the same level.When a step type arrangement is unavoidable due to landform restriction，the main production facilities shall be provided on the ground of the same level，whereas the raw material and fuel preparation system，finished product system as well as the utility and auxiliary facilities may be arranged on the ground of different level.

5.4.3　Main axis direction of the sintering room should be perpendicular to local prevailing wind direction in summer.

5.4.4　Main buildings and structures，for instance，main building，annular cooler and main chimney of the sintering room，as well as pelletizing room，chain grate machine，annular cooler and main chimney of the pelletizing plant，should be arranged in the area with homogenous soil quality and large foundation bearing capacity.

5.4.5　Along inspection bay side of the main building of the sintering shop there shall be a connecting road.The same is required along the inspection bay side of the pelletizing shop in the long axis direction of the chain grate machine and rotary kiln.Outside the inspection bay，there shall be inspection space available around the annular cooler.

5.4.6　Convenient transportation conditions shall be made available for dedusting facilities at discharging end of the sintering machine and dedusting facilities for cold ore crushing system，screening system and finished ore bins，etc.

5.4.7　The gas booster station shall be arranged near the annular cooler.
