城阙辅三秦，

风烟望五津。

与君离别意，

同是宦游人。

海内存知己，

天涯若比邻。

无为在歧路，

13.To See Police Commissioner Du Off for Shuzhou City

The Three Qins area has protected Chang'an for many a generation.

In the mist, I gaze from afar at the five ferries at your destination.

Seeing you off, I find it hard to part,

Since we both serve in government.

Within the Four Seas, I am lucky to have you as my bosom friend;

We seem to live nearby, though we are at the earth's opposite end.

When we part at a fork in the road, there is no need

To wet the handkerchiefs, like young lovers, with tears shed.

作者简介

王勃（约公元650年-约公元675年），字子安，绛州龙门（今山西河津）人，与杨炯、卢照邻、骆宾王并称“初唐四杰”。公元675年或676年夏，自交趾（今越南）探望父亲北返，渡南海，不幸溺水而亡。

王勃善于五律和五绝，代表作有《送杜少府之任蜀州》等；其骈文成就之高，堪称一时之最，代表作为《滕王阁序》等。

王勃融儒、释、道于一身，主张仁政，希望济世；他鄙世傲物，处事疏阔；崇信佛教。他主张“立言见志”的文学思想，其诗文“高情壮思”，以雄壮著称。
