Abstract

This is the sixth city marketing research report in China. Trends and prospects of China city marketing development in recent years have been reviewed in the report. Based on the Chinese City Brand Development Index (CBDI),Provincial Brand Development Index(PBDI ) and Urban Agglomeration Brand Development Index(ABDI) this study has formulated,we tested and ranked 288 cities,30 provinces and 20 city groups in China,and created the annual CBDI report(2019) as well as seven subject reports,including the city cultural brand development report,the city tourism brand development report,the city investment brand development report,the city livable brand development report,the city brand communication report,China's provincial brand development report and the brand development report of urban agglomerations in China.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Promoting Urban Endogenous Growth has been discussed as the theme of the China City Marketing Development Report. We focus on several hot topics related to China's city marketing,such as the upgraded Innovation and Entrepreneurship,the relationship between the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and the endogenous growth of the city and their contributions to the development of city brands. At the same time,the report probed into several typical cities including Boston,San Francisco,New York,London,Berlin,Stockholm,Tokyo,Seoul,Paris,Tel Aviv,Beijing,Chengdu,Xi'an,Hangzhou,Shenzhen,Guangzhou,and other Chinese and foreign cities to indicate how innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem can promote urban endogenous growth.

Based on data analysis,development study,theoretical focus and case study,China City Marketing Development Report is committed to promote research and practice of strategic city marketing development in China.
