During the Spring Festival of 2020，the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 made the most important festival for the Chinese much heavier and tenser than before. The epidemic is ruthless，but people are caring. At this difficult time，under the leadership of President Xi Jinping，the people of the whole country joined hands to fight the epidemic，demonstrating the strong cohesion and solidarity of the nation. During this battle，many foreign multinationals that have been operating in China for a long time have demonstrated social responsibility，donating money and materials and taking an active part in supporting the fight against the virus.
I heard that many multinational companies have actively participated in the emergency construction of Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital，from product donation，logistics，transportation，assembly，wiring，commissioning and operation. They have been very important in ensuring the timely and safe operation of the hospital’s power system，communications system and data center system. In particular，many young people born in the 1990s and the 2000s have worked with dedication around the clock to fight COVID-19.
This compilation，MNCs’Actions in Fighting COVID-19 Together with China，is a record and an epitome of the care，responsibility and dedication of multinationals，showing that multinationals are sharing weal and woe with China. In addition to kind donations，many multinationals have proposed constructive observations and suggestions. In the past 40 years of reform and opening-up，as participants，witnesses，contributors and beneficiaries，multinationals have played a very important role. During economic globalization，multinationals are the main driving force；in the era after the epidemic，multinationals will continue to play its part in building a community of share future for all mankind and promoting participation，consultation，sharing and win-win in the global economy.
My congratulations on the publication of this compilation. I hope that the China Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations will do more in the future in encouraging mutual support and win-win among Chinese and foreign multinationals for continued cooperation and common prosperity to the world economy.
