在第一部分,考官会从以上问题中选择2个或2个以上的问题对考生分别进行提问。所有的问题都应该根据实际情况进行回答,从样题可以看出,参加二级口语考试的大部分是在校学生,所以关于学习、学科、学校和学校所在地的问题较多。也有已经毕业的考生或社会考生,考官会根据考生的年龄情况进行提问。对以上的问题,我把它们分为两类:一是工作/学习内容;二是工作/学习中自己最喜欢或最不喜欢的部分,最擅长或觉得最困难的部分及其原因。针对这两类问题,参考思路如下。
当考官问及工作/学习内容时,要进行简单、明了的介绍。如果考生是一位公司的文职秘书,则先直接说明职位,再把平时的工作内容,如整理文档、安排会议、传达通知、提醒领导日程安排等工作内容稍微进行介绍。
当考官问及最喜欢的部分及其原因,也要据实回答,如喜欢整理文档,可以说明的原因有自己的性格偏爱整洁、整齐,平时喜欢整理东西,让一切看起来秩序井然,查找任何资料都方便快捷,从而会感觉心情舒畅。只要考生把喜欢的理由说得合理,再平凡的理由都是成立的。在说明最困难的部分及原因时,尽量说明客观原因,不应该太强调是考生自己主观不喜欢或性格懒惰。

注:考生B需借助信息卡对考生A提出的任何问题作出简短回答。如信息卡不含某一所需信息,考生B可以表示歉意并说明自己不知道,也可以利用背景知识或想象力提供该信息。
第二部分主要考查考生询问或传递基本的事实性信息的能力,是否能提供或者要求得到别人更清楚的阐述。这一部分还要考查考生能否进行积极地交流,并用简单的补救措施解决交流困难。所以在这一部分,考生除了要清楚地进行提问和回答,还需要注意两人的对话不会显得太生硬。在提问时,可以用特殊疑问句也可以用语气比较缓和的一般疑问句。如卡片2a的第一个问题可以是What is the library called?也可以是Can you tell me the name of the library?另一个考生可以回答It is called the Zhongshan Library.或者Sure.It is called the Zhongshan Library.第二个问题可以是Where is it located?也可以是Do you know where it is?考生的回答可以是It is located at 89,Zhongshan Road.也可以是Yes,I do.It is located at 89,Zhongshan Road.如果考生能使用一些对话性的语言,能够给考官留下更好的印象。
Part 3(3 minutes)第三部分:3分钟
Interlocutor asks candidates 2 or 3 questions about their talking topics.考官会结合前面的内容向考生提出2或3个问题。
在第三部分,考官会结合上一张或两张卡片对考生继续进行提问,如卡片2b的内容有关图书馆。考官可能会问:
Do you often go to the library?Why?
Who do you usually go to the library with?Why?
Have you read a novel recently?Can you tell me something about it?What is your favorite book?Why?
这些问题只是有关图书馆,与第二部分的问题及回答关系不大,所以在这时,考生要根据这些问题进行具体的回答。回答的原则是一般疑问句,先直接回答Yes或者No,考官会再继续提问Why,这时再用3、4句话进行阐述;如果是特殊疑问句,则直接给出答案,大多数情况下,考官会继续提问,这时再展开回答。如Have you read a novel recently?先回答Yes,I have just finished a novel recently.或者Yes,I am reading a novel these days.当考官继续问Can you tell me something about it?考生再进行描述,先说书名、作者,再用2句话简单介绍内容。这部分考查的是考生能否使用恰当的单词、短语和句型表达简单的观点和态度。
