Time for action – changing our portal name

To change the name of our website, please follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Log in to Liferay, if you have not already done so.
  2. Navigate to Control Panel by clicking on Manage | Control Panel from the dock bar.
  3. Click on Portal Settings, available in the Portal section on the left-hand side, which will take you to the following screen:

  4. Note that the name of the default community is given as Liferay.
  5. Change the name to Cignex Neighborhood and click on the Save button.
  6. Notice that the name of our portal website has changed from Liferay to Cignex Neighborhood:

What just happened?

We have seen that Liferay by default ships with Guest Community, in which all the default public-facing pages are there. The name of the portal by default is given as Liferay. We have changed the name of our portal from Liferay to Cignex Neighborhood.
