Setting up the IP address

To set up the IP address, as in Figure 3.25, complete the following steps:

1. In the Properties section, click the highlighted Ethernet setting:

1. In the Network Connections window, right-click your server's Ethernet and select Properties.
2. In the Ethernet Properties window, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click the Properties button.
3. In the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window, select the option Use the following IP address: and enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway. Additionally, select Use the following DNS server addresses: option and enter the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server. Click OK to close.
4. Click the Close button to close the Ethernet Properties window.
5. In the upper-right corner, click Close (the red X) to close the Network Connections window.
