Avatars
Create avatar cards to represent each team member. A picture stuck on a card backed with wall tack will work; laminating them will increase their longevity. You can then place these on a board to represent which task team members are working on, as in the following figure:
This shows that one team member is working on the third task of the first User Story. Two other team members are working the second task of the second User Story. Using avatars reduces the time taken at the Daily Scrum, as when each person talks, it's clear what they are working on.
It also helps to co-ordinate work outside of the Daily Scrum. For example, when looking for their next task, if a team member can easily see who is working on a User Story, they can co-ordinate with those team members.
