Willingness to share knowledge
People with an agility-oriented mindset willingly share knowledge with others and do not treat knowledge as a source of power. People associate their self-worth not only with their individual mastery but also in contributing toward mentoring other team members and helping them to learn and grow. The knowledge-sharing culture within a team helps to significantly speed up the on-boarding process of any new person, particularly anyone with little or no experience, joining the team. The existing team members recognize this, and leverage pairing, even across roles, to make this happen. Having an appetite for learning and a desire to share knowledge go hand in hand. Team members, including those with experience, are always seeking to learn and improve, and hence participate actively in knowledge-sharing sessions. In a team with an Agile mindset, such sessions are organized by the team itself.
