Physical safety and reliability

The integrity of cyber-physical systems has direct consequences on system reliability, and also environmental and human safety. Unlike in IT infrastructures, the impact of a rogue endpoint can be catastrophic in OT settings. The data generated by a rogue sensor, or control commands from a rogue or compromised PLC, can result in serious consequences.

For greater reliability, IIoT device identity can also be integrated with an organization's existing Physical Access Control System (PACS) and Logical Access Control System (LACS) frameworks.
