Setting Microsoft Edge settings

Although they differ from the user interface perspective, when it comes to the settings in Microsoft Edge, you will encounter almost the same options and features as in Internet Explorer, except in the another way.

To access settings in Microsoft Edge, complete the following steps:

  1. At the top-right corner of the Microsoft Edge window, locate the Settings and more button (the three horizontal dots).
  2. Clicking on the Settings and more button. It opens a menu with Settings as the last item on it (see the following screenshot):

To choose a theme for Microsoft Edge, complete the following steps:

  1. From within Settings, at the Choose a theme section, click the drop-down list to choose a theme for your Microsoft Edge, as shown in the following screenshot:

To import favorites and other info in Microsoft Edge, complete the following steps:

  1. From within Settings, at the Import favorites and other info section, click the Import from another browser button (see the following screenshot):

To clear browsing data in Microsoft Edge, complete the following steps:

  1. From within Settings, at the Clear browsing data section, click the Choose what to clear button (see the following screenshot):

To view advanced settings in Microsoft Edge, complete the following steps:

  1. From within Settings, at the Advanced settings section, click the View advanced settings button (see the following screenshot):

To let Cortana assist you in Microsoft Edge, complete the following steps:

  1. From within Advanced settings, at the Privacy and services section, turn on the Have Cortana assist me in Microsoft Edge option (see the following screenshot):
