Setting the icon
The icon is the graphical identifier for your app – something that your user's eye will be drawn to while looking for your app in either the browser or the PowerApps mobile app. The icon customization area is broken down into three elements:
- Preview: This will show you what your icon looks like as you start to change its settings – whether that is the actual icon itself or the background color.
- Background color: This a grid of colors that allows you to select from a list of predefined colors. The selection is quite limited and there is no ability to enter a custom color, but you should be able to find a color that is close to your desired brand color if you're working to brand guidelines.
- Icons: This has a selectable library of icons, all of which have been provided by Microsoft. Please note that if you have your own icon set, then you can upload your own icon–you just need to ensure it's 245px × 245px in size and that it's either a .png, .gif, or .jpg extension.
The following screenshot shows these elements in the App settings menu:

Always consider applying this basic level of branding to your app as it is the first thing your users will see.
