5.4　Installation of Gas Damper

5.4.1　Before installation of gas dampers，the following contents shall be checked:

1　The closing of damper plate shall be flexible and reliable with normal operation；

2　The sealing contact surface of damper plate shall be smooth without distortion；

3　The wear-resisting lining and wear-resisting protection layer of gas dampers shall be out of cracks and breaking-off；

4　The damper installation direction and position indication are correct.

5.4.2　The installation of electric actuator of gas damper shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1　The driving elements of electric actuators and regulating mechanism shall be flexible and reliable；

2　Carry out operation test to electric actuators，the operation direction and position indication shall be matched with the regulating mechanism and can meet the operating requirements；

3　When the valve actuator direction is not stated in the design documentation，the installation direction of valve operation system and actuators shall be convenient for operating and maintenance.
