Announcement on Issuing a National Standard of Code for Design of Installation of Shunt Capacitors

The Code for Design of Installation of Shunt Capacitors is hereby approved as a Chinese national standard with a serial number of GB 50227-2008，and will come into effect on June 1，2009.The articles 4.1.2（3），4.2.6（2），6.2.4，8.2.5（2），8.2.6（3），8.3.1（2），8.3.2（2），9.1.2（3），9.1.7 are compulsory regulations and must be enforced strictly.The former edition of GB 50227-95 Code for Design of Installation of Shunt Capacitors will be abolished till then.

This code will be published and distributed by China Planning Press as authorized by Research Institute of Standards and Norms，Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China.
