4 Raw Material,Fuels and Technical Index
4.1 Raw Material and Fuels
4.1.1 The raw material/feedstock charged in blast furnace shall be mainly sinter and pellet, constituting the burden mix of high-basicity sinters plus acid pellets(self-fluxing pellets)or some lump ores.
4.1.2 The feedstock's charge grade and agglomeration rate should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.2 below.
Table 4.1.2 Iron Content and Agglomeration Rate of Charge Feedstock
Note:The"average iron content"in the above table excludes content of special ore.
4.1.3 Quality of sinter should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.3 below.
Table 4.1.3 Quality Requirements for Sinter
4.1.4 Quality of pellet should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.4 below.
Table 4.1.4 Quality Requirements for Pellet
Notes:1 The above table excludes special ore.
2 The basicity of pellet shall be determined properly in accordance with the burden mix of the blast furnace. It's necessary to make clear specification in the design document that the burdening of acid pellet and high-basicity sinter should be designed for achieving the pellet's physicochemical properties.
3 The basicity of pellet should not be valued in the range of 0.3-0.8.
4.1.5 Quality of lump ore should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.5 below.
Table 4.1.5 Quality Requirements for Lump Ore
4.1.6 Grain size of feedstock should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.6 below.
Table 4.1.6 Requirements for Grain Size of Feedstock
Note:Grain size of the limestone, dolomite, fluorite, manganese minerals and silica shall be the same as that of lump ore.
4.1.7 Quality of top-charging coke should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.7 below.
Table 4.1.7 Quality Requirements for Top-charging Coke
Note:The quality requirements for stamp-charging coke are not listed herein because for stamp-charging coke oven, the coal batching varies greatly, coke products have pretty different densities, heat pattern is not complete as desired, and as a result, the technical indicators of the coke cannot fully meet the blast furnace production needs.
4.1.8 The coal injected into blast furnace shall be selected as the resources condition allows.Quality of the coal for injection should be consistent with the requirements stated in Table 4.1.8 below.
Table 4.1.8 Quality Requirements for Coal Injected into Blast Furnace
4.1.9 The feedstock and fuels of blast furnace shall be charged with controlled quantities of harmful impurities within the values required in Table 4.1.9 below.
