6.2　Loading of Bulk Materials

6.2.1　Loading of bulk materials to rail cars and trucks shall comply with the following requirements:

a）Loading machines for bulk materials shall be selected according to required loading capacity and system layout.If large loading capacity is required，continuous rail car/truck loaders or loading from storage silos should be selected，and if small loading capacity is required，single bucket loaders or grab cranes may be selected.

b）Where single bucket loaders，grab cranes or other continuous conveying machines are used，operation areas，parking lots and accesses shall be provided.

c）Elevated storage silos should be used for bulk material loading，the headroom clearance from the lowest points of the silo outlet gates and associated facilities to the rail or ground shall not be lower than the height limit for drive-in of the rail cars or trucks，and the minimum volume of the storage silos shall not be less than the load capacity of the design rail car/truck type.

6.2.2　Loading of bulk materials to ships shall comply with the following requirements:

a）Main parameters of ship loaders shall satisfy the requirements for loading materials into ship cabins，and the headroom clearance from the arm support to the side of the ship should be 1.5m-2.0m.

b）Where traveling ship loaders are used，maintenance areas and accesses shall be provided.
