Foreword

According to the requirements specified in the Plan for Developing Professional Standards in 2006（Document Number：〔2006〕No.1093）issued by the General Office of National Development and Reform Commission，this Specification is prepared by its development team based on wide and intensive investigations and studies made，practices summarized，comments requested as well as references to international codes and advanced foreign standards.

This Standard comprises 10 chapters.

Main technical contents in this Specification include the general principles and methods for classifying static equipment，and the services and detailed classification methods for 5 major categories of equipment in petrochemical engineering，including reactors，heat exchangers，separation vessels，storage vessels and pressure vessels.

China Petrochemical Corporation（Sinopec Group）is in charge of the administration of this Specification，Sinopec Technical Center for Equipment Design and Engineering is responsible for its routine management，and Daqing Petrochemical Engineering Co.，Ltd.is tasked for explanation of specific technical contents.
