3.4　Shim Plate

3.4.1　Before putting into the right position，the dimensions，position and quantity of the shims shall be determined based on the shape and size of anchor bolts，diameter of anchor bolts，compressive strength and equipment weight.

3.4.2　Shim plates shall be set as designed for equipment under heavy load，with shim plates at the both sides of the anchor bolts.For the equipment under light load，a group of shim plate shall be needed for an anchor bolt，with shim plate near to the anchor bolts.

3.4.3　The installation of shim plates shall meet the design document，otherwise adopting bed mortar method and grinding method，which shall meet the requirement of the current national standard GB 50231 General Code for Construction and Acceptance of Mechanical Equipment Installation Engineering.
