9.7 Electrode Lifting Mechanism and Electrode Clamping Mechanism
9.7.1 In case of installation of electrode mast and horn bracket, they shall be well prepared based on the serial number of electrodes, the bracket remain horizontal during lifting operation, and the mast be connected with the pins of lifting hydraulic cylinder after lifted into the guide frame.
9.7.2 The lifting idler pulley for electrode mast shall be installed according to the following requirements:
1 The clearance between the idler pulley and the mast shall be adjusted so as to ensure that the sum of the clearance between one idler pulley and the mast and that between its diagonal pulley and the mast be less than 1.0mm,which should be measured by feeler gauge.
2 The verticality of the electrode mast shall be adjusted, and the measurement by suspension wire should be carried out, with the allowable deviation of 0.1/1000 and the deviation direction towards the electrode side pitching up.
9.7.3 In case of installation, the distance of three electrode masts shall be adjusted, and the measurement by ruler should be carried out, with the allowable deviation of±1.0mm.
9.7.4 The horn shall be installed in accordance with the following requirements:
1 The mesh faces between the horn and the horn bracket shall be equipped with an insulating pad according to the requirement of the design technical document and the grooves shall be filled with insulating glue. The insulating pad shall be free of greasy dirt and damage and the insulation value shall meet the requirement of the design technical document.
2 The connecting bolts for the horn and its bracket shall be symmetrically tightened with the tightening force conforming to the requirement of the design technical document, which should be checked by torque wrench.
3 The horn shall be lifted horizontally and well installed according to the serial number of electrode.
4 The centers of three electrode clamp heads shall be adjusted with the allowable deviation of±3D/1000,and their deviation directions shall be consistent with each other.
9.7.5 The water cooling system for the horn and the electrode clamp head shall be subject to a hydrostatic test and a flushing test according to the requirement of Article 9.5.5 of the code.
