1　Scope

This Specification covers the minimum requirements for the design，fabrication，inspection and testing of reciprocating compressors and their drivers and accessories for petrochemical service.

This Specification is applicable to the engineering design and procurement of reciprocating compressors for petrochemical service.

This Specification is not applicable to air compressors that discharge at a gauge pressure of 0.9MPa（G）or below for pneumatic air service，gas engine driven or reciprocating steam engine driven compressor，and small high-speed compressor for oil field service.
