3.4　Shim Plate

Ⅰ　Dominant Item

3.4.1　To install a shim plate with bed mortar method，strength of concrete as bedding mortar shall reach design strength of foundation concrete in 48h.

Check quantity:to check batch by batch.

Inspection method:to check strength test report of the concrete cubes.

Ⅱ　General Item

3.4.2　Arrangement for shim plates of equipment shall meet requirements in design technical document or in compliance with requirements of current national standards GB 50231 General code for construction and acceptance of mechanical equipment installation Engineering.

Check quantity:spot check 20%.

Inspection method:inspection，to measure with a ruler，to check with fill gauge，to hit a shim plate lightly.

3.4.3　Concrete foundation surface shall be leveled by chiseling when a shim plate is installed by a grinding method，and contact points between the concrete surface and the shim plate shall be distributed evenly.

Check quantity:spot check 20%.
