11　Transportation by Standard-gauge Railway in Iron and Steel Plant

11.1　General Requirements

11.1.1　The requirements contained in this chapter are intended for the design of internal standard-gauge railway transportation of iron and steel plant in which the locomotives of national railway network don't travel.The design of external railway line and that of internal railway line of iron and steel plant in which the locomotives of national railway network travel shall comply with the relevant requirements in current national standard GBJ 12 Code for Design of Standard Track Gauge Railway in Industrial Enterprises.

11.1.2　Internal railway line shall be classified according to those specified in Table 11.1.2.

Note:The railway classification is determined as per higher value of the two items，i.e.axle load and transport volume.

11.1.3　The max.design speed of internal railway line shall not be higher than those specified in Table 11.1.3.

11.1.4　Railway construction clearance shall be in accordance with those specified in Article A.2 of Appendix A hereto.
