1　General

1.0.1　This code is developed for compliance with the national capital construction principles and technical and economic policies in the design of 110kV-750kV AC overhead transmission line to ensure that the transmission lines built are safe，reliable，technically advanced，cost-effective，resource-saving，and environmentally friendly.

1.0.2　This code is applicable to the design of 110kV-750kV AC overhead transmission lines，where the 110kV-500kV AC part applies to single circuit，double-circuit and multiple-circuit lines，while the 750kV AC part applies to single circuit lines.

1.0.3　The design of overhead transmission line must be based on the practical conditions with due consideration of regional characteristics.New technologies，processes，equipment，materials shall be actively employed.Advanced technologies and products which are energy-saving，low-loss and environmentally friendly should be promoted.

1.0.4　Proper reinforcement measures should be taken for important lines and special line sections for higher safety performance.

1.0.5　This code specifies the basic requirements for design of 110kV-750kV overhead transmission lines.Where this code is in contradiction with relevant provisions of national laws or administrative regulations，the latter shall prevail.

1.0.6　In addition to this code，the design of overhead transmission lines shall also comply with relevant national standards in force as well.
