National Academy of Innovation Strategy (NAIS), affiliated to the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), is mainly responsible for studying science and technology (S&T) policies, S&T development strategies, innovation culture and S&T practitioners, constructing S&T data center and national S&T innovation think tanks, and carrying out innovation evaluation and decision-making consultation.

Adhering to the Strategy of Innovation-Led Development, and the strategic positioning of “global vision, era height, historical depth and S&T cutting edge”, NAIS aims to be an innovation-led, government-trusted and internationally-renowned high-end S&T innovation think tank, prioritizing on the establishment and improvement of national S&T innovation evaluation system. NAIS is conducting comprehensive research and strategic consultation in the aspects of S&T policies and strategies, innovation culture, S&T practitioners and other overall foresight and strategic issues, aiming to innovate decision-making advisory theories and methodologies. NAIS actively builds up S&T data and resource platform, striving to play its unique functions as a S&T innovation think tank in policy advisory, theoretical innovation, public opinion guidance, social service and public diplomacy.
