Chapter 2 Interpretation of the Guidelines for Prevention and Control of 2019-nCoV

Since December 2019, increasing cases of corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19)have gradually been diagnosed in Wuhan, Hubei Province.With the spread of the epidemic, infected cases have also been reported in other regions of China and abroad. On January 8th, 2020, the pathogen of this outbreak was identified as the novel coronavirus 2019. On February 1st, 2020, National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China issued the Guidelines for Prevention and Control of 2019-nCoV (First Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the Prevention and Control Guidelines), of which main contents are interpreted as follows.

Contents of prevention and control guidelines in specific populations and specific places, and experts’ advice on medical management of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for patients with fever at home are included in the First Edition of Prevention and Control Guidelines.
