2．Ningbo Port

Ningbo Port(宁波港)is located mainly in Beilun District(北仑区)and Zhenhai District(镇海区)in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. In 2006, Ningbo Port started its expansion to the neighboring island City of Zhoushan(舟山)for a higher capacity. In terms of the annual cargo throughput, Ningbo Port is second only to Shanghai Port around the world. Different from Shanghai Port, Ningbo Port is deepwater and can be capable of handling 300,000 ton vessels.

The bulwark is on the north bank of Yongjiang(甬江)Mouth in Zhenhai Port and is 375 meters long. The facilities in the port are of various kinds, such as nearly 500 quay berths, among which the largest quay berth can berth bulk cargo ships of 300,000-ton capacity. In the meantime, Ningbo Port has various services, including piloting, marine salvage, shipping agency, and so on. At present, Ningbo Port is developing towards an international port.
