程度副词的作用是强调其修饰的动词、形容词和其它副词的意义。

常见的以-ly结尾的程度副词有：absolutely, completely, deeply, fully, greatly, highly, really, simply, strongly, thoroughly, totally等，其它程度副词有：too, very, just, indeed, far, much, more, most, little, almost等。
