Abstract

The third edition of International Economic Law is the revised one of its second edition to reflect recent changes of China's reform and opening practice and the development of international economic law system.It is one of the 14 key textbooks of legal science sponsored by the Ministry of Education to suit the needs of the 21st century.This textbook, divided into 6 parts and 29 chapters, makes a systematic and thorough discussion on the key problems of international economic law.Part one discusses basic theoretical problems, such as the concept, structure, and subjects of international economic law.Part two examines the legal system of international trade, including law of international sale of goods, law of international trade of technology and international trade in services.Part three studies the legal system of international investment, such as the foreign investment law, laws relating to oversea investment and the international protection of foreign investment.Part four explores the legal system of international finance, involving legal problems of international private financing, international securities, international payment and international financial regulation. Part five discusses the international taxation, including the tax jurisdiction, international double taxation and the methods for elimination of international double taxation, and the prevention of international tax avoidance and evasion.Part six examines the legal system of international economic disputes settlement, such as the international commercial arbitration, the WTO dispute settlement mechanism, and the settlement of investment disputes between a state and nationals of other states.
