8 The Wizard and the Gold Umbrella
One day, a boy lost his umbrella. He was very sad. “It is going to rain and I am going to get wet!” he cried.
A wizard heard the boy and showed him a gold umbrella.“Is this your umbrella?” he asked. The boy was very honest and said, “No, my umbrella was not made of gold.”
Then the wizard showed him a sliver umbrella. “That isn't my umbrella, either, ” said the boy.
Finally, the wizard showed him his original umbrella.“That's my umbrella!” said the boy.
The wizard said, “You are an honest boy and I will give you all three umbrellas! ”
A greedy stranger heard this story and had an idea. He went to the wizard and said, “I lost my umbrella, too! ”
The wizard showed him a beautiful gold umbrella. “Is this your umbrella?” he asked.
The greedy stranger smiled. “Yes, that is my umbrella.” he lied.“Give it to me! ''
Instead of giving him the umbrella, the wizard clapped his hands once, and it began to rain. Soon the greedy man was wet and cold.
The wizard said,“An honest man gets more than he loses. A dishonest man gets nothing. I will not give you any umbrellas.”
