About the Book

This set of books is divided into four Chapters with 80 lessons in total. Each lesson has 5 parts.

Chinese Character Recognition: one-component characters are listed first, and then multiple-component characters. one-component characters are grouped based on their similarity in shapes, and characters in a group are sorted by numbers of strokes. The multiple-component characters are grouped based on different parts of characters, and characters in each group are also sorted by numbers of strokes.

Words Recognition: The sound and form of a character is introduced first, followed by the most important part: an explanation of the meaning.

Sample Reading: Two passages are given in each lesson. One is based on the characters learned, and the other is based on the vocabulary covered. The passages are easy to understand and rich in topics.

Knowledge Points: Knowledge about Chinese characters, words, expressions, and sentences is introduced step by step.

Exercises: Rich resources of exercises are provided for learners to practice the characters, words and sentences.
