Meng Xiuxiang, Lu Chuan

Abstract: Jingchu Culture is profound and runs a long history. Jingchu Cultural study is not only among the most popular academic topics currently, but also a topic valuable and explorable forever. The value and significance of scholars doing studies on Jingchu culture can lie in the deconstruction and construction for Jingchu culture. Jingchu culture exists and prospers in both our daily practices and ideological fields. In this way, doing studies on Jingchu culture is an historically inevitable trend, and is necessary for current and future life, and can meet the need of cultural psychology. The deconstruction and construction of Jingchu culture is a detailed study on certained levels or areas of culture, which needs the historical spirit of Sima Qian as“deeply studying nature and human beings, knowing the changes of past and current”,and the scholars' modern conciousness. Because Jingchu culture is a process changing on different aspects including implements, systems, actions, and opinions, as well as a historical process both circuitous and forward, it has continuity and variability both diachronically and synchronically. In this information age in which diversified cultural communication among scholars becomes more and more frequent, and also in which the culture is modernized in many ways, the deconstruction and construction of Jingchu culture which is one of the most important territorial culture, is daily participating in modern social culture and manifesting its uniqueness and importance. In this process of innovation, including criticizing, inheriting and incorporating cultural elements from the past to this days, the deconstruction and construction of Jingchu culture still has a long way to go.
