Preface

Wang Lin has published his photo album officially，and I would like to show my sincere congratulation.

Born in Chongqing，and majored in foreign language，Wang has been engaged in travelling and hotel management for long. He takes a fancy to photography because of his ardently love for art，and has kept it for thirty years. In the preceding five years，he was keen on the creation of digital images and videos because of his exclusive controlling in the process from shooting to end product. This album demonstrates all his excellent works during this period.

Compared with his career，photography is only a hobby，whereas for the quality of his photos，his works are remarkable，which shows considerable professional standards. Some of the works bring you inspiration，and makes you sense the beauty. They can be called works of art.

Wang Lin's works show the beautiful and poetic moment in a most natural and real way. He doesn't take the camera and look for suitable images，but senses the world with heart，presses the shutter sincerely，and expresses the real sentiments in his heart. His works are of rich elements and multi-dimensions，but with no deliberation，showing off，restricted themes or professional constraints. Though all his works are “created in a hurry” and “memory of trips”，they provokes readers' sleeping aspiration for beauty and the freedom deep in heart.

Through the natural and real aspects，Wang Lin's works overflow the happy and warm feelings that cannot be concealed，and reflect photographers' mental states and characters. Wang is a positive，optimistic and sunny person，and his works are also of these qualities. The generosity of mountains and waters as well as the tenderness of streets and views are bright all the way. They reflect the photographer's clear and bright heart in an open view.

While appreciating Wang Lin's works，I have a strong feeling haunted，and that is the thinking and impulse of remembering and passion back. Living busily for long，it is easy to forget that sunshine could be so bright and warm，air could be so fresh and pure，animals could be so close and harmonious with human and people live in somewhere else can be so mysterious and beautiful. Wang's works can remind us of these images easily，and inspire us to return to nature and embrace it with the same bright mental state. We are used to pursue the meaning of works. I think，using images to inspire us to remember and return with passion is the meaning of Wang's works.

Wang often says that he likes the feeling on the way，which impressed me deeply. The so called “on the way” actually refers to diligence. The fate of photographers is ceaseless walking，continuous wading and tireless endeavor. In these years，his footsteps during shooting has extended all over the world，a journey over ten thousand miles. He is one of the most hardworking photographers I've ever seen. The so called “feeling” is pondering: pondering for skills，photography，living and life. It is pondering that endows photos with profundity and significance. Wang's works are thoughtful，with his personal sights and the traces of thoughts. He is one of the photographers good at thinking I know.

There is a traditional Chinese culture called “Love”，which is especially popular in Bashu（two ancient cities in Sichuan）area. As a man born in Chongqing，Wang Lin loves mountains and waters，and knows the secret of “Those who know it well is not as good as those love it.” For photography，he enjoys himself in it，and even forgets everything. It is the pure happiness photography brought to photographers. Just because of the attitude to “Love”，as well as diligence and thoughtfulness，Wang Lin becomes a happy and successful photographer. This is Wang Lin's first photo album. With this attitude in photography，I believe，in the near future，he will create more better and recognizable works and publish more photo albums.
