Dinner at the House of Hans
In the evening, they go to have dinner in Hans Weber's house. Ding Rui and George Lodge present Mrs.Dana Weber, Hans'mother, a box of Nestlé chocolate and Mr.Edmund Weber, Hans’father, a bottle of Massachusetts Rum 1.
Mrs. Weber has cooked a tradittonal German dinner:There is the Leberknödel Soup.Leberknödel is a bread dumpling seasoned with liver and onions. There are also Rotkohl(red cabbage sauteed with apples and onions in butter),Sauerkraut, Schweinebraten(pot roasted pork)Apfel Strudel(Apple Cake, so called Strudel),black bread and European-style butter-Plugra.Beer, Riesling(wine)and apple cider are the beverages.
“Today I cooked the special Munich dishes and food. I expect you will enjoy it.I hope you feel at home. Now please have a try.”says Mrs.Dana Weber.
The most favorable food of Ding Rui is Apple Strudel. She takes two pictures of them.
“A lot of people say that Chinese love spicy and hot food. Is it true?”asks Mr.Edmund Weber during the dinner.
“Yes, it is. But China is a large country.Chinese usually say southerners love sweet food.It means that the southern Chinese dishes are lightly seasoned with a little sweet taste. The northerners love salty food. The people of Sichan love hot food and westerners love food with vinegar. But Chinese food is generally too spicy for the most westerners,”says Ding Rui.
I have a questton.Westerners can drink much more than the Asian people.Do genes make it?says Hans Weber.
“I am afraid it is not true. Many Chinese can drink like a ffsh. The people of North Eastern China offen drink with big bowls. The spirits are mostly more than 50%.Some Chinese spirits like Mao Tai and Erguotou are 60%.You can set them on ffre.”says Ding Rui.
“Are they as strong as Vodka?”asks Mr. Edmund Weber.
“Some are. Some are stronger. If you can drink, it is easy for you to do business in China. And it is easier for you to make friends.”says Ding Rui.
“Hans, Irene said that you are a Psychotherapeut. There are some similar words on your job, e.g.psychotherapist, psychologists and psychiatrist, I am very confused.”says Ding Rui.
“Psychotherapeut in German is psychiatrists or psychotherapist in English. Psychiatrists are doctors to treat pattents with mental disorders. They can prescribe medicattons or choose other treatments of their patients such as electroshock. They deal with the body and the mind. For a psychotherapist, a master degree is O.K.A psychotherapist is trained in psychology. He or she may be nurse, clinical social workers, or counseling psychologists.A psychologist is trained to study how the mind works, but not usually from a biological perspective.Although some psychologists are trained in biology, this is not the primary training. There are two primary types of psychologists, the clinical psychologists and the counseling psychologists.Usually, the psychologist holds a doctor degree.A psychologist studies the mind from an individual perspecttve.A psychologist is also trained in psychological testing. If you want to obtain an I.Q test, you would visit a psychologist, not a psychiatrist, nor a psychotherapist.”
It's complicated, no doubt. Just remember if you want to go to counseling and talk, you will see a psychotherapist. If you want to go to counseling and get medicine, you will see a psychiatrist. If you need to get psychological testtng, you will visit a psychologist. And if you have a headache after hearing these descriptions, and need a pill, see a psychiatrist.Unless of course, it’s a minor headache, then just go to the pharmacy, and see anybody, says Hans Weber.
“Thanks for your explanation as an expert,”says George Lodge.
“Ding Rui told me you ffew her around American attracttons with your private airplane. It is so cool.”says Li Yucui.
“You are welcome to visit us in the USA. It is an honor for me to ffy you around.”says George Lodge.
“Thanks.”says the Webers and Li Yucui.
Affer dinner, they enjoy coffee and tea. They talk very late.
